abl solutions presents new Smart Transportation solution for public transport at Fiberdays 2022

Nuremberg, 13 June 2022 - The Nuremberg-based company abl solutions, one of the leading full-managed service providers of mobile and stationary WLAN and network infrastructures in Germany, will present its Smart Transportation solution for public transport live for the first time on 14th and 15th of June at fiberdays 2022 in the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden. "Passengers today don't just want to get from A to B quickly, they also want to use the time to access online content conveniently," says Benjamin Akinci, founder and CEO of abl solutions. "With our Omni-Channel Management Platform (OCMP), we help transport operators use their means of transport more efficiently and also become more attractive to their customers."

The OCMP combines a detailed vehicle analysis (OCMP Vehicle Analytics), which determines, among other things, information on utilisation as well as route and line information, with a campaign management tool that delivers targeted marketing campaigns to the passengers' end device. "In this way, we not only provide a wifi connection, the company can also make direct and sustained contact with its passengers," says Akinci. "In addition to real-time success measurements and detailed analyses of passenger behaviour, the integration of potential advertising partners in particular is an efficient tool for refinancing the investment."

OCMP Smart Transportation has already been implemented by abl solutions since 2021 in a pilot project with VAG Nuremberg. To date, more than 500 WiFi connections have been installed here in buses, trains and stops. In 2021, the cooperation generated over two million unique users and over 8 million ad impressions. In addition, 22 buses were equipped with 3D sensors to further improve load measurement.
